The "Learn To Play Hockey" program is designed for accomplished skaters, age-6 and up who can skate forward, backward, and stop by using hockey stops. Skaters below this lever should enroll in pre-hockey. Classes will be divided by ability levels focusing on several key areas including the fundamentals of skating, stick handling,shooting, and position play. Required equipment: elbow pads, shin guards, hockey gloves, and a helmet (These can be rented thru NIHA upon request.)
This class is open to all girls and boys. The primary goal of the "Learn To Play Hockey" program is to provide each player with the necessary skills needed to compete at the House and / or Travel level. Each player will advance through this program and eventually be placed on a team within the Newark Ice Hockey Association (NIHA).
Classes consist of 30 minutes of lessons and 20 minutes of games and activities. Please read the "First day of class" information ... this will prepare you for what you need before starting class.

FALL II SESSION
October 19, 2013 ~ December 17, 2013 8 Weeks Cost: $TBA.
No class on November 20 or 24, 2012
WINTER SESSION
January 4, 2014 ~ February 25, 2014 7 Weeks Cost: $TBA.
SPRING SESSION
Lessons only....March 4, 2013 ~ March 25, 2013 4 weeks Cost $TBA
Show practice and performance in show ....April 1, 2014 - April 22, 2014 4 weeks Cost $ TBA
The 9th Annual Jane McConnell Ice Show April 25 and April 26, 2014
